Richmond, BC - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. ("MDA" or the "Company") (TSX: MDA), a global communications and information company, today announced that it has signed a contract in excess of CA$20 million with Thales Alenia Space, prime contractor for the O3b constellation, to provide 96 communication antenna subsystems. The subsystems will be used for medium Earth orbit satellites being designed and built for O3b Networks. MDA has provided previous subsystems to Thales Alenia Space, as announced in December 2011.

O3b Networks Limited is a global satellite services provider operating a next-generation satellite network for telecommunications operators, Internet Service Providers, as well as enterprise and government customers in emerging markets.
